Photos from Terracotta, Cuba

Terracotta is a very small town near the Santa Lucia beach.  Though it contains a school and a hospital, Terracotta looks like a very primitive town.  People live in very basic housing, which they made themselves, and work in the nearby resorts.  The people were very friendly, and easy to talk to.  Most of them knew English well enough to communicate with us.

Photos from Camaguey, Cuba

Camaguey is the third largest city in Cuba (after Havana and Santiago de Cuba), with a population of about 320,000. It is the capital of the province with the same name. Camaguey does resemble a modern city, even though the streets are very narrow, and one can see bikes, cars, and horse carriages going in all directions.  Moreover, many of the better residential areas are from the pre-revolution (1959) era, made by Americans. Che Guevera is displayed all over the city, even on people's arms.
